Science students may get £1000 each

To hell with being a student at the minute thinks I: a new report shows that student accomodation prices have shot up by 20%, and a survey of 1,200 firms shows a big drop in the number expecting to hire new staff over the next few months - less than a third expected to increase staff levels. There is some good news out there if you are studying a science, technology, engineering or maths. Business backers the CBI have called on the government to find £200m to give those students an annual incentive bursary of £1000 each to help them pay off their tuition fees.
