Travelodge continues expansion
New opportunities in Bath, Edinburgh, Newcastle, Coventry, Oldham and Stevenage. These meccas for tourists will see six new Travelodges as the country’s second-biggest budget hotel chain snaps up Menzies Hotels for £85m - part of the expansion plans to reach 4,000 rooms by the end of the year. A further £14m will be spent on developing the sites which will expand from 650 to 719 rooms by converting (losing) gyms, restaurants and meeting areas. 9 new sites were announced last week, so this is a chain that’s on the up…
