EU competition calls on art and design students
A challenge has been laid down to all you artists and designers to create the Europe-wide logo for organic food. (Someone’s clearly spent all the budget). The European Union has launched a competition for students to come up with a new image that will be used on every piece of organic food across the member states from 2012 – what do you get? Fame and relative fortune – 6,000 Euros, which given the current exchange rate isn’t too bad. Just taking part will be a big tick on the CV, and you never know who will be taking note from the judging panel. There once was an EU organic logo, but it was dropped due to a trademark conflict with Aldi’s own branding for its organic lines. Entries close on June 26th so roll a banger and get thinking.
