As a global firm, we take our responsibilities seriously. The way we see it, good business performance is not just about profits. It's just as important to us to have a positive effect on society, the economy, the environment and the wider community. Because we place so much importance on this we are sponsoring RealWorld magazines Socially Responsible Student of the year 2008. This competition will acknowledge the student who has shown creativity, flair and energy in the area of community, environment, charity or volunteering. What is Corporate Responsibility? Like most organisations we have our own definition. Put simply, corporate responsibility is about helping us understand how we impact our stakeholders and the communities in which we operate, and then applying this knowledge in a responsible way to create a strong and successful business. A more recent example would be our Student campaign. We're doing everything we can to lower our impact on the planet - including highlighting the small changes that can make a big difference. So we're not just working hard to help our people and our suppliers reduce both our carbon footprint and their own, we are also raising awareness on campus at 24 universities nationwide. Our activities have been designed to show individuals how everyday behaviour affects climate change. On top of this we're becoming a greener graduate recruiter. We've selected a carbon-neutral printer, used 100% recyclable materials wherever possible, and are committed to working towards reducing and offsetting the carbon generated by students and staff travelling to interviews and campus events.
