TERMS AND CONDITIONS
REAL WORLD AWARDS 2008 TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Competition is only open to undergraduate students at UK universities. Postgraduate students, employees of Real World, PricewaterhouseCoopers or Enterprise, their families, agents or anyone professionally connected with the competition are not eligible to enter.
2. To enter, you must visit www.realworldawards.com, where you will first be asked to login in using your Real World Magazine registration details and then you must upload an image or video and answer 4 questions related to the category you wish to enter.
3. All entries are subject to moderation which many take up to 2 business days. Real World reserves the right to reject any entry that is deemed inappropriate for the competition.
4. Entrants will receive an email confirming that their entry has been submitted. Entrants must check back at www.realworldawards.com to make sure their entry has been approved.
5. Only one entry per person, per category. Entries must be the original unassisted work of the entrant.
6. All entries must be submitted at www.realworldawards.com by 5pm (UK time) on Friday, 4th July 2008. No entries will be accepted after the promotional closing time. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, corrupted or mis-sent in transmission for whatsoever reason.
7. No purchase necessary. Entrants may be subject to local call charges depending on their individual arrangements for internet access.
8. The prize fund is as follows: winners of the most Socially Responsible student of the year, Entrepreneur of the Year and Most improved Club or Society will receive £5,000 for a project or society. The winner of the Contribution to Society category will receive £1,000 for a project or society. This is alongside being part of a feature in a forthcoming edition of Real World Magazine and national and regional media coverage.
9. Winner, runners up and finalists agree to have their names and photographs printed in Real World and other media.
10. Proof of UK university student status must be produced by winner and runners up.
11. To vote, you must visit www.realworldawards.com, where you will first be asked to login in using your Real World Magazine registration details. You may vote for an entry by giving it 1 to 5 stars.
12. User can vote for any entry (regardless of university). Voting closes at 5pm on the 4th July 2008.
13. Winners will be selected as follows:
a. Round One: All entries and votes must be submitted at www.realworldawards.com by 5pm (UK time) on Friday 4th July 2008. No entries will be accepted after the promotional closing time. No responsibility will be taken for entries lost, corrupted or mis-sent in transmission for whatsoever reason.
b. Round Two: The top entries will be invited to present in front of a panel of judges and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London in September.
c. Round Three: The judging panel will select the winners for each category from the top 40 shortlisted entries and the winners will be announced at an awards ceremony in London. Shortlisted entrants must be available during the months of August and September, 2008 for telephone interviews, face to face interviews in London and the awards ceremony in London.
14. No responsibility can be accepted for any technical, hardware or software failures which limits or prohibits online entry. Failure of an entry to be delivered by the date or in the manner specified will make the entry invalid.
15. For names and counties of winners, please visit the www.realworldmagazine.com site in September 2008.
16. The Promoter's decision is final. No correspondence will be entered into.
17. Entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The promoter reserves the right to exclude any entrant who, in the opinion of the promoter, contravenes the rules or spirit of the competition
18. Your personal data will be used in accordance with the Data Protection Act
