Description:
Nick Jackson works for the Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management and they are a professional body that provides support, guidance and professional recognition. Good news, the industry at the moment is in a pretty good place besides in the little bumps in the economy as there is a lot of new environmental legislation coming into the UK. There are currently around 4000 members working throughout the UK and aboard in roles within statutory nature conservation organisations, environmental consultancies and even those within academia. Joining up as a student gives you some early exposure to the Institute and the industry and helps you find placements and experience throughout your degree.
