The consultancy industry is holding up reasonably well at the moment, so the challenge for Oliver Wyman is looking into the future which theyre finding very hard at the moment. People turn to consultants for advice so theyre looking for people who enjoy thinking about problems, can put a framework together to address those problems and those that come up with the tools to solve those problems. About 40% of the graduates Oliver Wyman take on are science, engineering or maths graduates. A further 40% are social sciences, finance and economics graduates and 20% are other graduates. Language skills are really important in consultancy as you could be deployed anywhere, so its a skill that will help you get across the line. Along with language skills, academic achievements are very important along with an understanding of who and what Oliver Wyman do and having some interests outside of work and academia.
