You will hopefully find that the once you have graduated from school, college of university, and you are planning your new career, the world of work will be more accessible to you than you life in education. Once you are in your new job, the more you put in, the more you will get from it. When applying for jobs, focus on your career strengths and skills that will make you attractive to future employers. Look for a role that suits your likes, career aspirations and strengths. Companies look for diversity and candidates with a range of skills, and different ways of thinking can improve productivity in their organisation. Every company has its own culture, so when looking for a job placement or future career, choose a positive company or job that suits your values and ideals. When applying for a job you may be asked to disclose your learning difficulties. It is up to you if you want to disclose this information, but look closely at the company policies and the role requirements, and base your decision on this. If you do not disclose to future employers, you could be denying yourself opportunities to get assistance in the role. It may also be useful for the employer to know your specific needs and to understand how you learn and work most effectively. Further job advice is to try to find a mentor (a business colleague, family member or peer with a similar learning difficulty) to coach you, and to offer their perspective.
