Description: e-courier.co.uk was founded by Jay Bregman and Tom Allason who met whilst at university in America. Like most good ideas E-courier was founded through Jay and Tom thinking they could do a better job after an awful experience with another company. This good idea came about after Tom had a terrible experience with another courier company, he thought about it, realised it was an underserviced market and thought that there was an opportunity to create a better courier company. So he did with the help of Jay!
Tom and Jay soon realised that most courier companies hadnt changed their business plan or approach since the 1970s. So between the two of them they set about modernising the approach, stripping out the costs and installing an uber smart computer system. With these step they thought theyd be able to create a scalable and profitable courier company easy!
So Tom and Jay rolled up there shirt sleeves and got into researching the industry. They found that the industry was extremely fragmented which could be attributed to the smaller companies actually being more profitable than the bigger ones. Like any good business market research played a big part in shaping e-courier.co.uk, so once again it was up with the shirt sleeves. They needed to know if the poor service issue was a big enough issue to build a business on, it obviously was.
